I’m Richy, and I live with my partner and our children in Tokoroa. With work being busy, I always enjoy the time I get to relax and spend with my family. Weekends often find us watching kids' sports, fishing, hunting and enjoying all that our beautiful region has to offer.
I have been working as a fitter welder for over 15 years, gaining extensive experience across multiple mill sites and different industries. I thrive on the daily challenges that require me to utilise all the skills and knowledge I've accumulated since starting as an apprentice. In 2020, just as the country went into lockdown due to the COVID-19 outbreak, I took the leap and started my own business.
I’m great at solving problems and always aim to go above and beyond in my work, priding myself on my hard work and efficiency. Throughout my career, I have worked at many large plants and in heavy industries across New Zealand. I also enjoy doing a wide range of work for farmers, contractors and trucking firms. My qualifications span a variety of areas, including specialised welding techniques, heavy machinery, farming industry repairs, rigging and craning, first aid, working at heights, and testing confined space industry standards. If it’s made out of metal, I can probably make it or fix it!
